Project Manager / Senior Project Manager - Nashville

Reports to: Operations Director
Job Grade: M12 – M15

The Project Manager provides various services for Ops Contracting Services, LLC. Tasks and requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

Tasks:

  • Suggest better methods or ideas for completing job.
  • Assist in the training of OCS personnel.
  • Operate trucks, commercial vehicles, and field service equipment on field service jobs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct projects according to budget to ensure profitability.
  • Accountable for purchasing all projects.
  • Mentor subordinates and assist in their personal development.
  • Client prospecting and sales calls.
  • Direct resources appropriately to multiple jobs to ensure project completion.
  • Support sales force in securing opportunities and contracts.
  • Perform job walks and site visits.
  • Oversee and implement safety program and initiatives.
  • Interact with client representatives and regulatory personnel.
  • Complete project reports in an articulate, concise, and punctual manner.
  • Clean and maintain all field equipment, especially after use.
  • Responsible for all maintenance and repair logs for trucks, commercial vehicles, and field service equipment.
  • Provide feedback from jobs and customers.

Knowledge:

  • Provide leadership to subordinates.
  • Prepare proposals and project budgets.
  • Generate project paperwork as required (i.e. change orders, inspections, and reports).
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Develop written proposals, quotations, Health and Safety Plans, and implement accordingly.
  • Ensure PPE is identified and implemented on projects.

Requirements:

  • Possess a strong work ethic.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and represent OCS in a professional manner at all times.
  • Seven years of progressive experience in construction, environmental or related fields.
  • Possess project development skills.
  • Good computer skills required (Word, Excel, and Project).
  • Conduct all projects with safety as the number one goal at all times.
  • Maintain a 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate, annual 8-hour OSHA refresher training and annual physical.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Identify and secure new opportunities and projects.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
  • Travel as required
