Foreman / Safety Coordinator - Nashville

Reports to: Project Supervisor / Corporate Health and Safety Manager
Job Grade: F1-F2

The Foreman/Safety Coordinator provides various services for Ops Contracting Services, LLC. Tasks and requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

Tasks:

  • Operate trucks, commercial vehicles, and field service equipment on field service jobs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
  • Direct resources appropriately to multiple jobs to ensure project completion.
  • Perform job walks and site visits.
  • Interact with client representatives and regulatory personnel.
  • Assist in the training of OCS personnel.
  • Clean and maintain all field service equipment, especially after use.
  • Maintain all maintenance and repair logs for trucks, commercial vehicles, and field service equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate and compliant driver logs and daily paperwork.
  • Conduct all projects with safety as the number one goal at all times.

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Familiarity with construction and general industry work practices and regulations.
  • Understanding of project proposals, quotations, and Health and Safety Plans and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Possess a strong work ethic.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and represent OCS in a professional manner at all times.
  • Wear proper PPE at all times.
  • Suggest better methods or ideas for completing job.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Five years of relevant experience in the construction industry desired.
  • Average computer skills required (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project).
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain a 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate, participate in an annual 8-hour OSHA refresher, and pass an annual physical.
  • Travel as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
