Equipment Operator - Memphis/Nashville

Reports to: Project Supervisor/Project Manager
Job Grade: O3 – O5

The Equipment Operator performs various services for Ops Contracting Services, LLC. Tasks and requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

Tasks:

• Operate trucks, commercial vehicles, and field service equipment as required.
• Perform confined space entry operations.
• Vacuum truck operators must be familiar with and operate equipment as the manufacturer intended.
• Clean and maintain all field service equipment, especially after use.
• Conduct field service jobs with safety as the number one goal at all times.
• Assist Foreman/Supervisor in reaching goals and completing tasks.
• Operate other field service equipment as required.
• Responsible for equipment and vehicle maintenance (including repair logs for trucks, commercial vehicles, and field service equipment).
• Maintain accurate and compliant driver logs and daily paperwork.

Knowledge:

• Read and understand blueprints (O4 and O5 Heavy Equipment Operators).
• Capable of final grade operations (O4 and O5 Heavy Equipment Operators).
• Working knowledge of DOT, HM181, manifest and BOL, and OCS project paperwork.
• Possess troubleshooting abilities.
• Mentor less experienced operators (O4 and O5 Heavy Equipment Operators).
• Vacuum truck operator must be capable of working independently and safely.

Requirements:

• Possess strong work ethic.
• Maintain a positive attitude and represent OCS in a professional manner at all times.
• Wear proper PPE at all times.
• Suggest better methods or ideas for completing job as appropriate.
• Maintain a Class A or B CDL with hazardous and tanker endorsements if applicable.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Interact with customer representatives.
• Maintain a 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate, participate in annual 8-hour OSHA refresher training, and pass an annual physical.
• Travel as required.
• Lift 50 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
